There’s an Elephant in the Room

“There’s an Elephant in the room, standing there in plain sight.
He walked straight through the door, with not a knock nor an invite.
He barged around in my home, swishing trunk and stomping feet
Knocking everything around him and making everything quite un-neat.
The question arises – what am I meant to do?
With this uninvited elephant, that’s now sitting on my loo.

I could just let him stay, taking over my home
Or push him outside, like an ugly garden gnome.
But he’ll never stay still, he’s got ants in his pants
He’ll continue his destruction and would ruin my plants.
I could live my whole life under his imminent dark side
Like a motionless puppet or a tear-stained young bride.”
